PORT DISNEY WAVE BAY

As the largest attraction at Port Disney at 3 acres, Port Disney Bay sits majestically at the back of the park after you've made your way through the village. Bringing a fun, 4-foot wave action to the pool every 2 minutes, the Bayis framed at the back by a beautifully detailed outcropping of rocks.. Sitting atop the rocks stands a majestic lighthouse that can be seen from anywhere in the park. At night, the scene grows even grander as the lighthouse lights beam across the park when the wave action is ready to begin. During the day the lighthouse foghorn plays a few notes from Under the Sea to signify the coming tide.

You may notice a certain shape of the wave pool, as Mickey's head is clearly in view from above. Not just for aesthetics, the design divides the waves into zones. The two ears are known as the left and right tidepools and have less intense waves. In the center is the riptide, which while still relaxing, is a bit more fun and intense with higher waves. Surrounding the ears of the pool are numerous seating areas for relaxing and enjoying the sights and sounds of Port Disney Bay.

Just can rent a Cabana on the beach over at the Rentals Building, near the entrance to the park. Or if that doesn't suit your fancy, adults head over to the 18+ Spa Pool to relax in peace.

PIPELINE CREEK SURF POOL

Surfs up! The waves are rippin' at Pipeline Creek, a small river off the Port Royal Water Works. Once quaint and peaceful, the constant influx of leaky water from those pipes has led to the surfer's paradise we see today.

This pool operates in the same manner as the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool.

BARNACLE JUNCTION

No water park or Disney pool complex would be complete without a fully themed kids area, and Port Disney is no different. Located in the center of the park makes for easy access for families no matter where they are stationed in Port Disney.

Built as a shallow, zero- entry pool only a few inches of water deep, the complex is framed by a multi-layer wharf-like structure ringing the back of the pad. Walking paths are made to look like old wooden boards, and nets along the rails provide a safety measure so no one goes tumbling over while adding to the nautical theming. Children can play on multi-level structure getting doused by the numerous sprayers and nozzles about while also firing water cannons at unsuspecting friends below, but anyone is fair game. These cannons are sprayers of a gentle nature to allow kids of all ages to safely enjoy the fun. Two slides of varying heights on either side complete the structure itself allowing children their own little thrills in the park.

Centered in the middle of the pad is a safe children’s playground area designed to look like an old fishing trawler. Still hanging on either side are the metal supports for the nets with numerous misting sprayers providing a fun time for little ones and a photo op for parents. Out the back of the boat is a small five-foot slide for really little ones. Also scattered about the pad are numerous closed crab pots and crates, all with their own little splashing surprises.

OTTER CREEK

Otter Creek is the Lazy River of Port Disney. Wrapping around the southern "forest" section of the park, the space is both closed off and connected to the park. There are constantly rockwork or trees to separate you from the crowds. But at the same time, the creek offers you a bird's eye view of the entire park. You will also find more than a few animatronic otters playing near the creek!

There are two "stations" where you can hop on or off. If you'd like, you could this as a transportation system through the park... although it'd be awfully slow.

THE MOUNTAINS

What would a Water Park be without slides? You may have noticed that while many water parks are almost entirely based around slides... at Port Disney, they have less of an impact. But that is only because of their competition- there are still a great number of themed slides present at the park. They are referred to as "The Mountains" as they derive their names each from a famous New England Peak. All (except Berkshire Mountain, which is further down) are side by side on a large cliff face, known as the "range".

You will find each mountain is a just little bit different.

BASH BISH FALLS

Family Raft Slide

The main family water attraction in Port Disney, Bash Bish Falls takes its name from the falls of the same name in southwestern Massachusetts. Like the real-life version of Bash Bish that begins its journey near Mount Washington in New York, the entrance to this 2-4 person tube ride is situated near the entrance of the thrilling Mount Washington body slides but leads rafters on a tamer, but no less thrilling tubing adventure down one of two slides.

Whether you choose the Bash side or Bish, either will provide a slightly different journey down the mountain. Framed by numerous trees to immerse you in the environment, you'll weave in and out of banked turns with a few subtle drops to generate speed. Though they take different paths, both tubes meet up back up at the bottom for a dual drop into the pool below simulating the real-life falls. Rock work conceals the tubes exit so guests watching the action will see you burst out of the falls into a splash of epic proportions.

MOUNT WASHINGTON

Downhill/fast body slide

Speed. What more do you need? While the real-life version of Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeast, Port Disney's version has plenty of height on its own. Once arriving at the peak, guests will step up for a quick blast down to the park below. The first half of the drop is entirely in darkness as you descend through the heart of the mountain before hitting a blast of sunlight as you hit the bottom curve and coast ever so gracefully to the bottom.

MOUNT MANSFIELD

Lowkey tube body slide

If you aren't quite ready to step up the plate for Mount Washington, you may find Mount Mansfield more to your liking. Utilizing the same paths as Mount Washington, guests will take the left fork towards Mansfield's tamer hill. This body slide provides a similar drop down but instead has a number of flat portions worked into the drop to break up the speed going down.

ROYALSTON FALLS

1-2 person raft ride

Taking its cue from Royalston Falls in Royalston, Massachusetts, this 1-2 person raft ride looks as though it literally was carved out of the mountain. Remnants of the glacier's meltwater are visible to riders as they make their way down the falls, with numerous streams and rock faces framing various portions of the ride. Taking a snake-like pattern down the mountain, the tube eventually leads to a large 25-foot drop slide into the waiting pool below.

MOXIE FALLS

Solo innertube slide with 2-3 tubes for variety

With 3 tubes of choice for making your way down Moxie Falls, you'll find out exactly how much moxie you do have. Each with a varying degree of banking, drops, and speed, you'll take this ride alone via your tube. Alternating between open and closed portions you'll make your way through various forested sections until meeting back up with the other paths not chosen at the pool below.

BERKSHIRE MOUNTAIN

As the "E" Ticket water slide of Port Disney, Berkshire Mountain delivers new tech and high excitement to the park. Utilizing ProSlides Hydromagnetic Rocket, that can also be seen in Volcano Bay, this bobsled-like ride shoots guests down the mountain while offering fleeting glimpses of the scenery around. Chosen for its tight footprint, the attraction fits perfectly into the layout of the park and will be one of the more popular rides available.
